You can make a difference in your community. Helping is as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Giving through your company campaign
If your company conducts an annual United Way campaign, it should
take place sometime between August and November. At that time, you will hear a
presentation about United Way, its member agencies and how you can make a
donation.
2. Through your company – outside campaign season
If you are a new employee, contact your human resources coordinator to
receive a United Way of Gaston County pledge card and New Hires brochure. If your company conducts a
United Way campaign each year, this person should have cards on hand. If not, he
or she should be able to get in touch with United Way to receive a supply.
United Way and your community are grateful for any amount you wish to donate.
- FairShare:
One hour’s pay per month, or
1%
of your annual income.
3. Directly to United Way
If you wish, you may give to United Way by writing a check or by
using credit card.
Payment Methods
Thank you for your decision to give through United Way! There are two
methods of payment for your pledge.
Easy Payroll Deduction
Your human resource director can help you set up a plan whereby your
contribution is deducted from your paycheck each pay period. No checks to write,
no records to maintain. Each pay period, your check stub will show your total
pledge to United Way as it was deducted from your salary.
Direct Payment
You may make a one-time, lump-sum donation to United Way by writing a
check or you may make payments on a pledged amount. If you wish to pledge an
amount, United Way can remind you monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or
annually.
Please remember United Way if you will through
charitable trust, a bequest or charitable annuity. We have a donation plan
that will be right for you , in your memory.
